How often do you hear of people staying in a relationship, because it is too expensive to do otherwise?

The recent Global Financial Crisis (GFC) has been blamed for many failings, from failed share portfolios, to failed marriages.  However, some couples have attempted to maintain their unity, as well as their joint assets until the hard financial climate passes.  This is because they see the option of separating as an expensive exercise when taking into consideration:- 

• Mortgage repayments
• A decrease in property values
• Losses to superannuation
• Losses on the share market
• Legal fees
• The costs of starting again

Often, the result of staying together causes increased tension which can heighten the bitterness of the marriage breakdown, and have a negative impact on any children involved.

92 million people across the world now use Twitter and Q has jumped on the tweeting band wagon.  Not everyone is open to the world of Twitter, in fact, we were more than a little sceptical about it ourselves.

However, we've discovered that not only can Twitter generate business, but we are also able to impart valuable information to our followers and receive valuable information from those we follow. 

A particularly interesting Tweeter is SourceBottle.  SourceBottle regularly tweets about media 'call outs' for sources from journalists.  For instance a magazine may wish to write an article on a particular subject.  Some recent broadcasts from Source Bottle were:-

CALL: Women's lifestyle publn seeks women who work in a prison or adult correctional facility

CALL: Women's lifestyle publn seeks a fireman to talk about their experiences on the job

I wonder if we will one day read:-

The following is claimed to be an extract from a speech by CEO of Coca Cola, Bryan Dyson.  Regardless of its authenticity, we thought it worth repeating.

Myles would like to thank his many friends and clients for their condolences and kind messages following the recent passing of his brother Kevin.  Myles attended his brother's funeral in New Zealand which took him out of the office for close to a week.  He apologises for any inconvenience this may have caused Q Solicitors' valued clients.

The driving force behind Q solicitors is Myles Murphy. I was fortunate to be a mentee to Myles Murphy during my formative years as a Lawyer. Myles was an excellent Mentor possessing qualities that only after being somewhat a seasoned Lawyer myself now, have come to truly appreciate.

Myles was always that step ahead, and still is, fresh in his approach and in his manner. I still call Myles up now and then, he always makes time to answer those curly questions - he is what he was back then, thoroughly dedicated to the practice of Law and to his clients.
